U.S. equities are gapping higher to start the week, with SPY opening roughly +0.52% above Friday's close and QQQ adding +0.82% in pre-market. Small caps are also joining the move, with IWM up +0.76% — and notably, IWM's pre-market print has already pushed above its own call wall at 280.
The setup is not clean, however. All four major indices carry deeply negative gamma exposure, meaning the options market structure is unstable and can amplify moves in either direction. It is a 0DTE Monday for SPY, QQQ, and SPX — the session's intraday gamma dynamics will be unusually sensitive to where price sits relative to key strikes from the open.
GEX walls are price levels where dealers hedge aggressively. Price tends to gravitate toward Max Pain and stall near walls.
