After gapping higher at the open, the S&P 500 ETF spent the session grinding between 763 and 767, unable to push meaningfully above resistance or collapse toward support. The morning's fade thesis got a partial look when SPY dipped to 763.34 intraday, but buyers stepped in and price has since recovered to 765.73 — right back in the center of the tension zone.
NVDA is up 1.79% on the day and QQQ briefly tagged 714, just one dollar below its call wall, suggesting tech is carrying the session while small-caps remain the laggard — IWM has not once challenged 300 today and is sitting below VWAP with a bearish trend bias score of -21. Geopolitical noise around Iran, Hormuz shipping conditions, and Canada's retaliatory tariffs is running in the background, but so far the tape is shrugging it off.
GEX walls are price levels where dealers hedge aggressively. Price tends to gravitate toward Max Pain and stall near walls.
