This morning's bearish calls haven't paid off — SPY is trading near session highs at 766.49, IWM is glued to its 300 call wall, and NYSE breadth is running 1,696 advancers against 1,027 decliners. The bears had a thesis; the tape had other plans.
With monthly options expiration in force and 76% of SPY volume coming from 0DTE contracts, the gravitational pull of key strikes is extreme. SPY sits sandwiched between a put wall at 765 and a call wall at 770, and that range may well define the afternoon. The real action today has been in TSLA, where over $450 million in 0DTE call flow hit at the open — and the stock is up 5.27%.
GEX walls are price levels where dealers hedge aggressively. Price tends to gravitate toward Max Pain and stall near walls.
